For his headshot clientele, Josh offers a session that is designed to get the widest range of shots for you to use for your personal brand. He shoots all his headshot from above the chest and concentrates on coaching you to produce a number of different facial expressions that capture your unique personality. He highly recommends multiple changes and to over-pack if possible. He always says if it’s not there he can’t shoot it! Having a wider range of clothing options allows for more variation within your session. He spends whatever time he needs to make sure you are happy with the outcome of your session and certainly doesn’t like his clientele to feel rushed in any way, shape or form.
For Josh’s portrait clients, he not only likes to shoot a variety of looks but also varies the lighting and backgrounds as well. These sessions generally last a minimum of 3 hours and include a wide gamut of images from headshots to full body and everything in between. Above is for Headshots Only Pricing.
Throughout the session, you will be reviewing the images with Josh to decide whether or not you feel it would be beneficial for your personal brand. By narrowing down in this manner it allows for us to only focus on the cream of the crop and anything that you don’t feel would be in your best interest to keep will be deleted.
At the end of the session, you will select the final images you’d like to keep from the best of the best. Licensing is done by subscription year by year. ABOVE PRICING DOES NOT INCLUDE LICENSING OF IMAGES ( Licensing breakdown will be sent with your proofs and can be calculated on a job by job basis) If you prefer to buyout your images; The buyout price of each image that you select to purchase is $1500 and that includes unlimited licensing of the image for personal use as well as professional retouching to Josh’s specs (minor retouching at $85 per image) extensive retouching and manipulation $120/hour rate would apply. Additional edits are $85 each (editing includes color correction, general skin editing, general stray hair removal etc. Anything extensive will be extra) *

Should you feel the need to bypass the process of choosing with Josh at the end of the session then we can set up a proofing site for you for $500 where you will be able to choose the images you’d like to purchase at your convenience.
There is a $750 setup fee for on location shoots as well as additional travel expenses to and from location TBD. We will work with each individual to ensure that they get a great looking headshot. Each session involves helpful coaching as well as expert advice during photo selection.
After each shoot, the photos are hosted online within 1 week for the client(s) to review and select for retouching. The final retouched images may take up to 3-4 weeks to be completed and delivered via download. Rates are subject to change and do not include travel expenses for shoots outside of studio locations. Taxes, fees etc are calculated on you itemized invoice. All deposits are non-refundable and can be made in the form of debit card, credit card or via PayPal. The remaining balance must be paid upon arrival to the shoot. A model / client release must be signed upon arrival or prior to the shoot. Models under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present at all times. 50% deposit/retainer fee required upon booking to reserve your date and time.
Additional Information
HEADSHOTS VS. PORTRAITS
During a headshot session, we keep the camera up close and personal. All the images are captured from the chest up while we concentrate on coaching you toward your best expression. That’s 100% on us and something we pride ourselves upon. We’ll coach you throughout the entire process to not only capture superb imagery but to educate you on what angles and expressions work best for you. We often vary the background colors and love a variety of clothing changes over the course of the session. As you can see from our work, we have created beautiful lighting that is headshot specific and matches ouf aesthetic that we believe will have you looking your best.
Our portrait sessions are where we love getting creative and vary things up quite a bit. We’ll be including portraits along with your headshots, so you’ll have an assortment of different backgrounds, lighting and we change the proximity of the camera to the subject as well. You’ll walk away with a broader range of pictures and everything you’ll need for your own personal branding purposes. Portrait sessions start at $2500 for the session.
ABOUT THE SESSION
We will be capturing and reviewing the images together as we go. Inspecting the shots in this way helps us to determine their viability for your use. In doing so, we will be able to adjust the focus of the session to account for anything we feel you could additionally benefit from along the way.
PURCHASING IMAGES
At the end of the session, we’ll sit down and review each shot from the entire shoot individually. After discarding the obvious shots that you won’t need we’ll hone in on the ones you’ll end up keeping. Throughout this process, we’ll be narrowing down your selection so you only leave with the best of the best. We consult our clients on things like expression, what can and can’t be done in the retouch, as well as making sure you have a nice range of shots to utilize from your shoot. There is variety for you from the session. By the end, you’ll determine the images that you are going to purchase and know they really are the cream of the crop. They will go off to the retoucher and be delivered to you a week later.
CLOTHING
Feel free to bring a range of different options for clothing. The #1 rule for us is that you have to love it! If you don’t feel comfortable in it, you most likely won’t shoot well while wearing it. We suggest you bring a range of different cuts, colors, and necklines. For our corporate clients, we like the men to have a variety of jacket/shirt/tie combos and for the women some options of blouse/dress/jacket combos. Keeping jewelry to a minimum is key, studs or small earrings work and simple necklaces, anything hanging or chunky will usually draw too much attention to itself. If you wear glasses and have multiple pairs, then we’d appreciate you bringing them along in order to ascertain their glare factor. If you have any doubt about whether something will work or not just bring it. Layers are fantastic for the actors and no need to be seasonal; everything from t-shirts, tank tops to sweaters and light jackets can work. Have some fun with this, if you feel your wardrobe is missing something then go shopping and we’ll keep the tags on it in case you’d like to return the items after the shoot. We have a steamer in the studio, so we’ll be able to easily sort out any wrinkling for you.
HAIR AND MAKEUP
Rates are for average hair and makeup applications. Excessive hair length and/or thickness, washing, shampooing, texturing, etc can result in additional charges on the day of the shoot and will be accessed by hair and make-up team. Client will NOT be charged unless approved of extra work , but extra work will not be performed unless costs are covered.
Women’s makeup:
Makeup for the session is not required but highly recommended for all women. The cost for makeup during your session will vary on how many people are in your group.
The makeup is applied specifically for the lighting we use and we usually start very naturally to give you a very clean simple look. We do touch-ups and will add subtle changes to the makeup as the shoot progresses. If you’d like to start off a little heavier on the makeup we are happy to do that as well, just let us know.
Women’s hair:
We ask that everyone come in with their hair ready the way you would like to present yourself. We want your hair in your pictures to be as close as possible to the way you look on a fantastic hair day and can’t have you showing up to the studio as if you just rolled out of bed. Of course, our makeup artist is there, if booked, to make sure it’s shoot ready and we will discuss what you’d like to do with it and make a game plan at the beginning of the shoot.
If you need a major overhaul hair-wise or you are naturally curly and want to go straight there may be an extra charge for our makeup artist to blow it out for you. Make sure you discuss this with us prior to your session, so we are all on the same page.
Men:
We recommend makeup on everyone including men. Our makeup artist can provide light grooming for skin and hair on the shoot if you like. Or a complete overhaul if you need. Just inquire with us about pricing prior to your session. Our professional retouching can cover a variety of issues that may arise skin-wise, so there are no worries either way, but costs of extensive editing may apply.
Facial Hair:
If you’d like to shoot with facial hair we’d be happy for you to come in with whatever level of growth you’d like and can shave or trim it down once we’ve gotten the scruff covered. Bring whatever grooming products you’ll need with you to get it done.
If we work with freelance makeup artists and you will be paying them directly, they require cash, Cash App, Venmo, Paypal, etc on the day of the shoot.
– Turnaround Time –
*Corporate headshot clients can expect to receive their photos in 3 weeks or less. For groups greater than 100, please allow 6 weeks for editing and electronic delivery.*
– Delivery –
*Images are e-mailed or delivered via digital download from Dropbox or Hightail email. *You will be able to order prints at reasonable prices.*
– Payment –
*The balance is to be paid in full at the start of your session. Credit cards are accepted. 50% deposit/retainer fee required upon booking to reserve your date and time.
– Travel –

Retouching / Photo Editing
Photo editing and retouching are not included in the session fee unless stated in the estimate. The following outlines the differences between retouching and photo editing. Hair and makeup services make this process much more efficient.
Retouching ($45/image): Includes basic blemish removal, light skin smoothing and minor flyaway taming.
Photo editing ($120/hour): Includes more complicated edits such as wrinkle removal from fabrics, hair adjustments, background changes, full ad designs, etc.
Deposit / Cancellation
A 50% deposit is required to confirm every session via online payment, which is credited to the session fee. The balance is due at the end of your session payable by cash, check or credit card. A cancellation of your session forfeits the deposit.
Rescheduling
We understand that things occasionally come up and require a need for rescheduling. Your deposit is transferrable due to rescheduling as long as you provide us with min 2 weeks notice. The rescheduled session must take place within 30 days of the original shoot date. Once 30 days have passed your session will be considered Cancelled. Anything reschedule without min 2 weeks notice will require to repay the deposit. Only ONE rescheduling is permitted (with valid reason and proof) before your original deposit is FORFEIT, and a new, NONREFUNDABLE deposit is required. Only one rescheduling of your session is allotted due to weather postponement for outdoor shoots.
Late Arrival / No Shows
We recommend you allow adequate time so that you arrive on time. Your shoot time is just that, your time. Being late deducts from your shoot time. If you have a 90-minute session at 10:00am but show up at 10:45, you have 45 minutes of shoot time remaining. It’s simple as that. It will be considered a cancellation if you fail to show during your shoot time and your deposit will be forfeited.
Reshoot / Refund Policy
We will offer a reshoot if we have a technical problem where your images are not retrievable. However, simply stating that you don't like your photos does not constitute a reshoot or refund. We are very consistent with our lighting and editing results so please take a look at our portfolio. We do not do refunds. Since we shoot digital and you get to view your shots as we go (on a BIG screen tv and computer), you get a good idea if we are capturing what you need. We always tell our clients to be upfront and honest with the team so they can make sure everything is perfect for everyone. The team creates a relaxed environment for you to speak up with any opinions and wants you may need throughout your shoot. Do so ESP if you feel you are not getting the desired shots you are intending to get. There is NO such thing as a bad question. This is also why it is important to do your research on your marketability or discuss with your representation prior to the shoot on how they market you etc.
Rush Orders and Last Min Bookings:
We try to work with everyone’s schedule, but just like the post office etc., if you want to be able to skip the line and get your stuff done ASAP or last min, fees can be applied and calculated based on the order and shoot needs. Try to book your shoot at least 2 weeks out. Anything booked within a week can be subject to last min booking / rush fees (def within a 3 day period of shoot date needed). Rush ordering edits etc (we offer 24 hour turn around service) will be based upon the order and calculated accordingly.
